Land Acknowledgment

At JCI Canada, we acknowledge that our organization operates on the traditional, ancestral, and unceded territories of diverse Indigenous peoples across Canada. These Indigenous peoples have been the stewards of this land for time immemorial.

We honour and respect the histories, cultures, and ongoing contributions of First Nations, Metis, and Inuit peoples to this land called Canada.

We recognize the harms and injustices inflicted upon indigenous communities through colonization, and we commit ourselves to learning, understanding, and actively participating in reconciliation efforts.

As we navigate our roles and responsibilities within JCI Canada and beyond, let us strive for understanding, respect, and partnership with Indigenous peoples.

We encourage everyone to learn more about the Indigenous peoples in their respective areas by visiting the Native Land website.
