Each year National Convention is held in a different location in Canada, hosted and organized by a local chapter. Members from across the country attend the convention to participate in a wide variety of top quality training courses and to take part in the Annual General Meeting (also known as General Assembly) to conduct the business of the Corporation. The main purpose of the Annual General Meeting is to elect the National Board of Directors for the upcoming year.
The Effective Speaking Competition, the Junior Effective Speaking Competition, the National Awards Program and the Outstanding Young Person Award are all held at National Convention.
As well, National Convention offers a great opportunity for training, networking, fellowship and the sharing of ideas, projects and experiences.
